First Meeting Sept. 9 2013

Mondays, ask 6-7 PM Squirrel Hill Library   Room A                   Facilitated by: Laurie Arnold-McMillan & Jane McCafferty

Join us for a 12 -step group using writing as a tool for change and growth. As we work through the steps, we will use prompts from poems to write whatever the moment inspires as a complementary tool for healing. Our supportive group will foster courage, openness, and learning as we relate our words and experiences to anxiety.

Come as you are; no writing experiences necessary! Free.

Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth. ~ Rumi

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. ~ Mother Theresa

Anxiety is love’s greatest killer. It makes others feel as you might when a drowning man holds on to you. You want to save him, but you know he will strangle you with his panic. ~ Anais Nin

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart. ~ William Wordsworth
