“Always in My Heart” Tickets for Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m

SMCWin a Trip to Hawaii!      The Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities are offering a chance to win a weeklong trip to Hawaii while learning about the life of St. Marianne Cope through a one-woman play, this “Always in My Heart” on Saturday, advice Oct. 5 at 7 p.m., Scotus Hall at Mount Alvernia, Millvale, Pa.

While enjoying the performance by award winning actress Jacqueline Albarella, the story of St. Marianne will come alive. St. Marianne spent 30 years ministering to patients with Hansen’s disease (leprosy) in Kalaupapa, Hawaii. She was a contemporary of St. Damien de Vuester and cared for him when he contracted the disease until his death. The play, “Always in My Heart” celebrates

the 175th anniversary of the birth of St. Marianne, a sister of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities. Canonized on Oct. 21, 2012, St. Marianne is the first Franciscan woman saint from North America.

Tickets for the performance are $50 and include a chance to win a 2014 trip for two to Hawaii valued at $8,500. Arranged by Seawind Tours, the package includes airfare from Pittsburgh International Airport, hotel for 7 days, 6 nights, a visit to Kalaupapa and a $500 Visa card. Additional chances may be purchased for $50 each. Proceeds benefit the mission and ministries of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities.
